Feeder Cattle Auction Report for 11/16/2016

Receipts: 11,073    Week ago:    9,972    Year ago: 6,140

Compared to last week: Feeder steers sold steady to 4.00 higher with Feeder heifers bringing steady to 3.00 higher. Feeder demand consistently good throughout the sale with a majority being yearlings and a limited amount of lightweight calves offered. Steer and heifer calves 4.00-10.00 higher. Demand particularly good for calves, as demonstrated by an abundant amount of long weaned calves for sale with an equally large desire from buyers to purchase and utilize their grazing abilities. Feeder supply included 54 percent Steers, 42 percent Heifers, and 4 percent Bulls. Feeder Supply over 600 lbs was 70 percent.
