24,000 Head of Cattle from 23 States Offered at Superior Livestock's Recent Video Auction

Superior Livestock Auction's most recent bi-monthly Video Auction was held December 2nd and broadcast live from their Fort Worth studio in the Historic Stockyards. Cattle producers offered 24,000 head of calves, yearlings and breeding stock from over 23 states. The video auction was broadcast live on DISH channel 232 and was streamed on Superior Livestock Auction's Click To Bid website. Producers have fetched higher prices for their livestock for three straight weeks, amid a strong demand. Strong wheat crops and recent rainfall across the country has encouraged producers to source more animals and Friday's auction capitalized on this gain.
Yearling steers and yearling heifers both remained steady from Superior Livestock Auction's last offering. While weaned steer calves saw a $5-7 increase and weaned heifer calves saw a substantial increase of $10-12 higher from their last auction. Calves on cows remained in demand and steady.
