Wed, 14 Dec 2016 11:12:33 CST
Holly Carroll joined the AFR Co-op staff Nov. 28 as Membership Services and Field Operations Coordinator.
"We are excited to have Holly on our team," Terry Detrick, AFR President, said. "She brings a great deal of passion, experience and energy that will translate into success with our organization."
Carroll, a native of Greensburg, Kentucky, has worked as a middle school teacher and in leadership development for Oklahoma Farm Bureau. Her family owns a beef cattle farm in central Kentucky. She earned a Bachelor's of Science degree in Agriculture Education from Western Kentucky University and a Masters in Secondary Education from Campbellsville University.
"I believe AFR is well situated to engage and connect rural and urban areas," Carroll said.
Carroll believes retaining the next generation and stopping the "brain drain" from rural communities as a major challenge.
"We need to reach out to these people and show them we are all here for the betterment of Oklahoma," Carroll said.
Carroll, and her husband Chris, have two children and reside in Cashion. Chris is a loan officer at National Livestock Credit Corporation.
