Join Okla Cattlemen's at The Beef Affair - A Fine Dining Fundraiser Where Beef is Star of the Show
Wed, 18 Jan 2017 09:34:11 CST
The Beef Affair is a fundraising event for the Oklahoma Cattlemen's Association that will feature a four course meal. The star of each course will be beef and each course will be perfectly paired with a different wine.
The event will take place Friday, Feb. 17, 6:30 p.m. at Castle Falls (820 N MacArthur Blvd.) in Oklahoma City, Okla.
"I can't think of a better way to say, 'I love you' to my Valentine than to enjoy a first class eating experience featuring beef and wine," said Charlie Swanson, OCA President.
According to a beef checkoff-funded consumer survey:
· In this month of romance, beef is the preferred choice of Americans (62 percent) because nothing says love like a great steak dinner for Valentine's Day.
· Sixty-two percent of Americans say they choose to prepare beef if they are looking for gratitude or appreciation from their dinner partner.
· Fifty-three percent of Americans identify filet mignon as the food most associated with candlelight romance and 50 percent of Americans think filet mignon is the best way to say "I love you."
Tickets for 'The Beef Affair' are $110 per person. Only 100 tickets are available. Tickets can be purchased at www.okcattlemen.org or call 405-235-4391.
"I look forward to enjoying the company of my Valentine as well as many friends and fellow cattlemen at this event while we promote and enjoy beef," Swanson said.
