Feeder Cattle Auction Report for 2/8/2017

Receipts: 6,701    Week ago:    9,772    Year ago: 6,700

Compared to last week: Feeder steers traded 3.00-5.00 higher, feeder heifers 2.00-4.00 higher. Steer and heifer calves sold 5.00-10.00 higher. Demand good. Quality mostly attractive.    Unseasonably warm weather is expected for the weekend.

***Beginning 2-28-17 the OKC West Livestock Auction will change it's sale schedule to cows and bulls on Mondays at 10:00 am; calves and stockers on Tuesdays at 9:00 am and feeders on Wednesdays at 9:00 am.*** Feeder supply included 53 percent Steers, 46 percent Heifers, and 1 percent Bulls. Feeder Supply over 600 lbs was 75 percent.
