Oklahoma Pork Council Calls Scott Pruitt a Tremendous Friend to Agriculture and the Pork Industry Executive Director of the Oklahoma Pork Council Roy Lee Lindsey, released the following statement today in response to the confirmation of Scott Pruitt to lead the Environmental Protection Agency:



The Oklahoma Pork Council congratulates Scott Pruitt on his confirmation to serve as EPA Administrator. Pruitt has been a tremendous friend of agriculture and the pork industry as a state senator and attorney general and we expect that to continue in his role at EPA.



"Scott Pruitt recognizes the importance of agencies following the laws passed by the legislative branch as opposed to agencies pushing their own agenda," said Roy Lee Lindsey, okPORK Executive Director. "Congress will continue to pass legislation and we are confident Pruitt will do everything in his power to follow the clear language of the laws as sent to him by Congress."
