Feeder Cattle Auction Report for 03/13/2017

   Actual Receipts: 6,592     Last Week: 8,069    Year ago: 10,083

   Compared to last week: Feeder steers and steer calves steady to 3.00 higher. Feeder heifers and heifer calves mostly 2.00-4.00 higher, except 600 weights 6.00 higher. Demand moderate too good for feeders. Demand continues to be very good for thin fleshed cattle headed to grass. Quality plain to attractive. Rain fell over the weekend, however most areas saw limited amounts of moisture. Feeder supply included 64 percent Steers, 0 percent Holstein Steers, 34 percent Heifers, and 2 percent Bulls. Feeder Supply over 600 lbs was 78 percent.
