Superior Livestock Auction Offered More Than 31,000 Head of Cattle During March 23 Video Auction Results of Superior Livestock Auction's March 23rd Video Auction


Superior Livestock Auction hosted its bi-monthly March 23rd Video Auction from their studio in the Historic Fort Worth Stockyards. Cattle producers offered 31,350 head of calves, yearlings and breeding stock from 23 states for this auction. Superior Livestock went live at 7:30am CT with Superior Sunrise and the auction followed at 8am CT. This March 23rd Video Auction was broadcast live on DISH channel 232 and streamed on Superior Livestock Auction's Click To Bid website. The anticipation for today's sale was high as the cash market has been strong all week. Superior continued their momentum they gained from their last offering fully taking advantage of the week's bullish market conditions as the demand for grass cattle continues to intensify.


The strong market is reflected in stats, yearling steers saw an increase of $5- $7 and yearling heifers were $4-$8 higher. Weaned steer calves were up $7- $10 and weaned heifer calves were $5- $8 higher from Superior's last offering. The demand for calves on cows also saw a substantial increase of $10- $12.
