Tue, 28 Mar 2017 15:25:49 CDT
Soil health, Conservation Stewardship Program (CSP) and conservation district services are just some of the topics to be covered at the upcoming conservation workshop on April 18, 2017 from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Stephens County Fair and Expo Center, 2002 South 13th Street, Duncan.
"We're excited to share some of the highlights from the newest version of CSP," said Dana Davis, USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) District Conservationist for Stephens County. "The latest iteration of CSP should make it easier to tailor the program for a variety of operations and still meet the high quality conservation targets the program is designed for."
The workshop will be hosted by USDA, Stephens County Conservation District and Oklahoma Tribal Conservation Advisory Council. Presentations will also be given on soil health and a variety of other USDA and conservation district programs and services.
The workshop is free and lunch will be provided. RSVP or request reasonable accommodations by April 13 with Dana Davis or 580-255-7676 x3 or Dr. Carol Crouch at 405-602-9331.
