Feeder Cattle Auction Report for 4/11/2017

Compared to last week: Feeder steers sold 1.00-5.00 higher. Feeder heifers traded 5.00-8.00 higher. Steer and heifer calves sold mostly 5.00-8.00 higher, instances to 10.00 higher on thinner fleshed cattle. Sharp inclines on both the CME Live and Feeder Cattle contracts this week have increased buyers interests. Quality plain to attractive. Demand very good, trade very active. Feeder supply included 63 percent Steers, 0 percent Holstein Steers, 36 percent Heifers, and 1 percent Bulls. Feeder Supply over 600 lbs was 89 percent.
