Still Time to Apply for Fire Relief Assistance Through Oklahoma Farming & Ranching Foundation
Mon, 01 May 2017 14:55:36 CDT
For those farmers and ranchers who were affected by the devastating wildfires that scorched Northwest Oklahoma earlier this year, today (May 1, 2017) marks the deadline to apply for assistance through the Oklahoma Cattlemen's Foundation.
However, there is still time to apply for relief funding through the Oklahoma Farming & Ranching Foundation, the charitable arm of Oklahoma Farm Bureau.
"Our hearts go out to the Oklahomans and others who have been affected by this serious wildfire situation," said Tom Buchanan, Oklahoma Farm Bureau president. "We must stand by the farmers, ranchers, and rural residents who have experienced serious threats to their homes and livelihoods. These are the good people providing our food, fiber and fuel every day, and today our neighbors in Northwest Oklahoma need us to band together with them."
The deadline to apply for assistance through the Oklahoma Farming & Ranching Foundation is one month from now on Thursday, June 1, 2017.
Farming and ranching families who were impacted by the fires are encouraged to apply. Both landowners and lease operators are eligible.
To be considered for funding, print and complete the Wildfire Relief Application and return it to:

Following the fires, the Oklahoma Farming and Ranching Foundation received donations from generous Farm Bureau organizations, individuals and businesses in Oklahoma and across the country.
