OSU's Taylor Kennedy Selected as First Ever to Participate in AgGrad's Ultimate Ag Internship

Tue, 09 May 2017 11:46:06 CDT

OSU's Taylor Kennedy Selected as First Ever to Participate in AgGrad's Ultimate Ag Internship AgGrad has announced Taylor Kennedy will be the first ever participant in the Ultimate Ag Internship. The program was created as a window into agribusinesses across the country which elevates work culture, career opportunities and a bird's eye view of specific job functions. This summer, Kennedy will travel to various agricultural companies to learn and document these components via videography.

Kennedy is currently a graduate student of agricultural communications at Oklahoma State University. She holds a bachelor's of science degree in agricultural services and development from Tarleton State University and is a former national president of Agricultural Communicators of Tomorrow (ACT). Through this internship opportunity, Kennedy will expand her knowledge of the industry and build upon her video and photography skills.

"We are very excited to see Taylor bring this program to life," says Tim Hammerich, Founder of AgGrad. "She will provide us the chance to tell the story of modern agribusiness in a format that resonates with young audiences: through video and imagery on social media."

Utilizing consistent and aggressive content communications, AgGrad has an established community of students and young professionals interested in agribusiness careers. The organization believes in equipping professionals with accessibility to employment details they would otherwise not receive at job fairs. The program begins in July where Kennedy will receive video blog ("vlog") training from Matthew Sligar of Rice Farming TV. Following her training, she will embark on a journey to document participating agribusinesses around the country. Agribusinesses interested in participating in the program should contact Jenny Schweigert atJenny@AgGrad.com for details.

AgGrad was established in 2015 with the mission of "helping young professionals find their place in modern agriculture." The company accomplishes this mission by providing a job board, blog posts, career profiles, "AgGrad Live" (a Facebook Live show), daily snapchat stories, and a weekly podcast called the "Future of Agriculture." All is provided at zero cost to students and young professionals and supported by participating agribusinesses.

To follow Kennedy's journey, like the AgGrad Facebook Page and follow them on Instagram. For more information on AgGrad, contact Tim Hammerich at Tim@AgGrad.com or 737-203-5172.
