Feeder Steers Steady With Some Sales $2 to $4 Higher on Wednesday at OKC West OKC West Livestock Market

Feeder Cattle Sale for Wednesday, June 21, 2017
(report below includes the Tuesday Calf Sale and the Wednesday Feeder sale)

Total Receipts- 7,159 this week versus 8,732 last week versus 8,378 a year ago

Compared to last week: Feeder steers sold mostly steady, few trades
under 800 lbs 2.00-4.00 higher. Feeder heifers 1.00-3.00 lower.   Steer
and heifer calves sold 5.00-10.00 lower. Sharp declines on both the CME
Feeder and Live cattle boards have buyers being much more picky. Quality
plain to attractive. Demand moderate to good for all classes especially
unweaned calves. Feeder cattle supply included 61 percent Steers, 2
percent Dairy Steers, 37 percent Heifers, and 1 percent Bulls. Feeder
cattle supply over 600 lbs was 80 percent.
