Compared to last week, steers and heifers sold steady to 5.00 higher. Market activity picked up mid morning as larger strings of cattle made their way through the ring and buyers found some footing. The market continued to improved as futures posted some solid gains throughout the day, with nearby Feeder Cattle closing limit up. Quality was improved over last week and included large strings of true, long time weaned yearlings. Supply heavy and demand moderate to good. Feeder cattle supply included 55 percent Steers, 0 percent Dairy Steers, 41 percent Heifers, and 3 percent Bulls. Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 61 percent.
