Three Oklahoma Educators Selected to Take Part in Farm Bureau's '17 On The Farm STEM Program

The American Farm Bureau Foundation for Agriculture has announced participants selected for its Orlando On the Farm STEM professional development event, slated for July 9-11. The training is designed to bring science to life for participants with the help of American beef cattle ranchers, researchers, nutritionists and veterinarians.
Nearly 400 applications were received for On the Farm STEM events this year, including three Oklahoma professionals: Jennifer Hofeld, STEM Resource Leader, of Harrah Public Schools; Zena Lewis, Teacher, of the Owasso Sixth Grade Center; and Ginger Reimer, Education Director, of the Oklahoma Soybean Board from Claremore, Oklahoma.
The other educators selected to attend the Orlando event, include:
- Dr. Patrick Bigelow, Supervising Interpreter, Huron-Clinton Metropark Authority (Milford, Michigan)
- Charlotte Cearlock, Assoc. Faculty in Developmental Education, John Wood Community College (Quincy, Illinois)
- Megan Claycomb, Fifth Grade Science and Social Studies Teacher, Blount County Schools (Rockford, Tennessee)
- Jarred Corwin, Secondary Science and STEM Specialist, Indiana Department of Education (Indianapolis, Indiana)
- Stacy DeVeau, 4-H STEM Program Coordinator (Prescott, Arizona)
- Sylvia Hickenlooper, Soil Conservationist, USDA-NRCS (Longmont, Colorado)
- Andrew Medearis, STEM Teacher, Flagler County Public Schools (Saint Augustine, Florida)
- Daniel Mullen, Second Grade Teacher, Archdiocese of New York (Astoria, New York)
- Kandy Noles Stevens, Adjunct Professor, Southwest Minnesota State University (Marshall, Minnesota)
