Oklahoma Cattlemen's Association Celebrating the National Day of the Cowboy at Annual ConventionWed, 12 Jul 2017 12:37:52 CDT
Saturday, July 22, is the 'National Day of the Cowboy'. The Oklahoma Cattlemen's Association's 65th Annual Convention and Trade Show will take place on July 21-22, 2017 at the Embassy Suites in Norman, Okla.
"'Loyal to the cowboy for 65 years', will be the theme of the two-day family event," said Charlie Swanson, OCA President.
The first OCA Convention took place in 1953.
"While many things have changed in the beef industry since 1953, OCA continues to provide firm, steadfast support to our membership," Swanson said. "I look forward to celebrating 'The National Day of the Cowboy' by recognizing OCA members and industry partners who have displayed loyalty and commitment to this great industry."
In addition to a large trade show and OCA policy discussions, there will be five sessions of Cattlemen's College that provide educational opportunities. The final event of convention is the awards banquet where outstanding cattlemen and their accomplishments will be recognized and celebrated.
Convention registration, a detailed schedule and featured speakers can be viewed at www.okcattlemen.org.
"I invite you to join me and several hundred other cattlemen from all around the state during OCA Convention," Swanson said. "We've consolidated the schedule a bit, to make convention two full days, in hopes that more young ranching families can attend.
