Oklahoma Cattlemen's Association Helps Fundraise for Kids - Hosting 33rd Annual Range Round Up
Thu, 03 Aug 2017 18:47:54 CDT
The Oklahoma Cattlemen's Association will be hosting its 33rd Annual Range Round Up, August 25-26 at the Lazy-E Arena, featuring 12 historic Oklahoma ranch teams in head to head competition for bruises and bragging rights. The OCA Range Round-Up is comprised of six events depicting day-to-day ranching jobs.
The OCA describes the competition as "fierce" with ranches competing for a year's worth of bragging rights, and a few coveted team awards.
"Some call the event, 'cowboys helping kids,' and for good reason," the OCA says.
The event benefits the association's selected charity, the Children's Miracle Network, which has supported Children's Medical Research Institute for 19 years. In that time more than $420,000 has been raised to help children.
The OCA Range Round-Up is sanctioned by the Working Ranch Cowboys Association and the event's Champion team will have the opportunity to represent Oklahoma at the world competition.
