Steer and Heifer Calves Sell with Higher Undertones on Tuesday at OKC West Livestock in El Reno

Feeder Cattle Auction Report for 8/22/2017

Compared to last Tuesday: Steer calves sold as much as 7.00 on limited
comparable sales. Heifer calves were lightly tested however a higher
undertone. was noted. Demand moderate to good. Quality mostly average to
few attractive. Cooler temperatures and several days with chances of rain
are in the forecast for the remainder of the week. Feeder cattle supply
included 53 percent Steers, 37 percent Heifers, and 10 percent Bulls.
Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 22 percent.




    Feeder Steers(Per CWT): Medium/Large 1 395 lbs Thin Fleshed 205.00;
400-500 lbs 182.50-192.50, Thin Fleshed 186.00-187.50; 500-600 lbs 160.00-
171.00, 590 lbs Fleshy 148.00; 600-700 lbs 151.00-155.50, Calves 144.00-
147.00. Medium/Large 1-2 488 lbs 160.00; 513 lbs 158.00; 600-700 lbs
146.00-158.00; 716 lbs 141.00. Medium/Large 2 388 lbs Brahman X 130.00;
497 lbs 148.00, 475 lbs Brahman X 126.00; 539 lbs 130.00.




    Feeder Heifers(Per CWT): Medium/Large 1 300-400 lbs 156.00-166.00,
