Feeder Steers and Heifers Sell Mostly 1.00 - 3.00 Lower Wednesday at OKC West Livestock Auction

Feeder Cattle Auction Report for 8/22-23/2017




Total Receipts:             5,295




Compared to last week: Feeder steers and heifers sold mostly 1.00-3.00
lower. Demand moderate. Steer calves sold as much as 7.00 higher on
limited comparable sales. Heifer calves were lightly tested however a
higher undertone. was noted. Demand moderate to good for calves. Quality
mostly average to few attractive. Cooler temperatures and several days
with chances of rain are in the forecast for the remainder of the week.
Feeder cattle supply included 67 percent Steers, 31 percent Heifers, and
2 percent Bulls. Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 84 percent.
