Compared to last week, steer calves steady, yearlings steers 2.00 to 5.00 higher, heifer calves and yearling heifers steady to 3.00 higher. Demand moderate to good, supply moderate. The USDA Cattle On Feed report showed 104 percent On Feed, Replacements at 103 percent and Marketing at 104.00 percent. Live Cattle and Feeder Cattle futures responded by trading sharply higher.

***Note*** Joplin Regional Stockyards will be closed Monday, September 4, 2017 for the Labor Day holiday.
Feeder cattle supply included 28 percent Steers, 0 percent Dairy Steers, 20 percent Heifers, 28 percent Steers, 20 percent Heifers, and 4 percent Bulls. Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 25 percent.
