ICYMI- OK Beef Council's Heather Buckmaster Invites You to Help 'Beef Up Our Blood Supply' Friday

In case you missed it - Heather Buckmaster, executive director of the Oklahoma Beef Council, joined Radio Oklahoma Ag Network Farm Director Ron Hays over the weekend, for his 'In the Field' segment on KWTV News 9, to discuss the Beef Council's Blood Drive in partnership with the Oklahoma Blood Institute coming up this Friday, September 1, 2017. Buckmaster invited everyone to participate in this annual event to "Beef Up Our Blood Supply."

Giving blood is always important but the need is greater just before a major holiday weekend and even more important as the Oklahoma Blood Institute is helping its partners in South Texas that can't supply blood to area hospitals due to flooding, according to a statement by the OBC.

Buckmaster says you can help save a life by joining the Beef Council at one of Oklahoma Blood Institute's nine blood donor centers this Friday to donate.
