Oklahoma Farm Bureau Shopping for a New Executive Director

On Friday, the Oklahoma Farm Bureau officially opened up their search for a new Executive Director for the general farm organization. Here is the job search announcement provided by the farm group:
JOB POSTING - EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Oklahoma Farm Bureau, Inc. is in search of an Executive Director. Oklahoma Farm Bureau is an
independent, 501 (C)5 non-profit, non-governmental, voluntary organization of farm and ranch
families united for the purpose of analyzing their problems, and formulating action to achieve
educational improvement, economic opportunity, and social advancement and thereby, to promote
the national well-being. This position reports to the Board of Directors.
Duties include, but are not limited to, being responsible for the management of the organization in
a manner that is ethical and profitable, as well as promoting member services and member growth.
The Executive Director should demonstrate competence in the following areas:
Leadership, operational, human resources, financial, project and risk management and planning.
Qualifications should include:
• Baccalaureate Degree (B. A.) or equivalent, 10 or more years related experienceand/or training, or equivalent combination of education and training, involvement in agriculture and/or knowledge
of the industry, business management or related field
• Knowledge of leadership and management principles as they relate to a non-profit
agriculture based organization
• Knowledge of federal/state employment standards, human rights, occupational health and
safety, taxation, and state/federal regulations
• Knowledge of current challenges and opportunities relating to the mission of OFB
