ICYMI - OCA's Michael Kelsey on 'In the Field' to Explain Mechanics of the State Beef Checkoff Vote
Mon, 30 Oct 2017 12:09:54 CDT
In case you missed it - Executive Vice President of the Oklahoma Cattlemen's Association Michael Kelsey appeared over the weekend on Radio Oklahoma Ag Network Farm Director Ron Hays' 'In the Field' segment on KWTV-News9 to talk about how Oklahoma's cattle producers can participate in a referendum vote to approve the proposed Oklahoma State Beef Checkoff program. If producers vote in the affirmative to approve the state checkoff program, an additional but refundable dollar will be added to the current national dollar per head program that will go to boost in-state funding for beef promotion, education and research efforts.
Cattle producers in Oklahoma, regardless of age, will have the opportunity to vote in the referendum at any county extension office in the state during their regular business hours on Wednesday, November 1st, if they have not already submitted a mail-in absentee ballot.
