Feeder Steers Sell 6.00 - 8.00 Higher Wednesday at OKC West Livestock Auction in El Reno, Okla. OKC West - El Reno, OK

Total Receipts:                  6,660




   Compared to last week: Feeder steers sold 6.00-8.00 higher, feeder heifers
traded 4.00 to mostly 6.00 higher. Demand for feeder cattle very good. Long
weaned steer and heifer calves sold steady to firm, short weaned calves sold
with a lower undertone. Quality average to attractive, fill average to full.
A cold front is expected towards the end of the week bringing more seasonal
like weather. Feeder cattle supply included 61 percent Steers, 35 percent
Heifers, and 4 percent Bulls. Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 64
percent.
