Fri, 03 Nov 2017 14:34:56 CDT
The Noble Research Institute will host a workshop, "Technologies on the Ranch," to demonstrate to agricultural producers and landowners the technologies used on Noble farms and ranches with beef cattle, forage, soil and wildlife.
The seminar will take place from 1:30-5:30 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2017 at the Noble Research Institute Oswalt Ranch in Marietta, Oklahoma.
During this hands-on workshop, Noble consultants and researchers will show technologies used for soil health, forage measurements, wildlife tracking and management, cattle efficiency and sustainability. They will also discuss how technology can be integrated into farm and ranch systems.
"Just like most industries, the agriculture sector will increasingly use technologies that help us better understand our resources and find work efficiencies in our operations," said Evan Whitley, Ph.D., Noble cattle systems contract research manager. "It's important to test these technologies in real production systems to see how they work and the cost and benefit to producers."
This event is offered at no charge, but preregistration is required. To register, please visit www.noble.org/events or contact Danielle Pacifico at 580-224-6376 or Trisha DeLozier at 580-224-6377.
