Superior Livestock Shares Results of Its Nov. 9th Video Auction that Featured 25,500 Head of Cattle

Superior Livestock Shares Results of Its Nov. 9th Video Auction that Featured 25,500 Head of Cattle Superior Livestock Auction hosted their November 9th Video Auction live from their studio in the Historic Fort Worth Stockyards. Cattle producers offered 25,500 head of calves, yearlings and breeding stock from 23 states for this auction. Cattle were sold on contract to deliver immediately through the end of May 2018. Superior Livestock went live at 7:30am CT with Superior Sunrise and the auction followed at 8am CT. This November 9th Video Auction was broadcast on the Cowboy Channel and streamed on Superior Livestock Auction's Click To Bid website. Optimism remains high as feedyards look to continue stocking pens with freshly weaned calves, boxed beef prices continue to rise prior to the holiday season and future markets remain upwardly trending. This optimism and upward trending growth is seen in the Superior Livestock market report as producers look to cash in on the market.


Compared to Superior's last offering, regions 3/4/5/6 yearling steers were $5-$10 higher. While yearling heifers from the same regions also saw an increase of $5-$6. Regions 3/4/5/6 weaned calves also saw a dramatic increase with weaned steers calves bringing $10-$12 more and weaned heifer calves bringing $8-$10 more. Calves on cows from regions 3/4/5/6 were also up $5-$7. Florida calves saw an increase of $5-$8 higher. Moving to regions 1 & 2 yearling steers were $7-$12 higher and yearling heifers also were up $4-$6 higher. Weaned steer calves from regions 1 & 2 saw a substantial increase of $10-$15 and weaned heifer calves from the same regions were $8- $10 higher. Calves on cows from regions 1 & 2 were $5- $8 higher.
