Weaned Calves Jump $2 to $4 Higher at OKC West- Unweaned Calves See Lower Undertone

OKC West Tuesday Calf Market for November 14, 2017

This report is for the Tuesday calf trade for 11/14/2017- the final report for OKC West for this week will be released after the Yearling Sale on Wednesday.


Compared to last Tuesday: Steer and heifer calves that were weaned and
under 500 lbs sold 2.00-4.00 higher. Remainder of the calves, especially
un-weaned calves traded very uneven but a much lower undertone was noted.
Quality plain to attractive.   Demand moderate to good. Feeder cattle
supply included 45 percent Steers, 3 percent Dairy Steers, 46 percent
Heifers, and 6 percent Bulls. Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 28
percent.
