Steers Sell 3.00 to 8.00 Lower While Heifers Not Well Tested Wednesday at OKC West Livestock OKC West - El Reno, OK
Livestock Weighted Average Report for 12/5-6/2017

Total Receipts:                 13,312

*** Final report ***

Compared to last week: Feeder steers sold 3.00-8.00 lower. Feeder heifers
not well tested but a much lower undertone was noted. Feeder and Live Cattle
contracts on the CME continue to decline causing buyers to be much more
selective. Steer calves 2.00-4.00 higher. Heifer calves traded 1.00-3.00
lower. The Oklahoma Quality Beef Network and the Integrity Beef Alliance had
their special sales on Tuesday and all these cattle are noted as Value Added
due to strict days weaned and vaccination programs. Demand light to moderate
for feeder cattle, moderate to good for calves, especially good for the value
added calves. Quality average to attractive. Feeder cattle supply included
64 percent Steers, 1 percent Dairy Steers, 34 percent Heifers, and 1 percent
Bulls. Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 59 percent.
