Compared to last week: Feeder steers and heifers trading steady to
5.00 lower. Lightweight steer and heifer calves currently bringing 2.00-
7.00 higher, 500-600 lbs are selling mostly steady to 5.00 higher.
Demand moderate for feeder cattle, good for long weaned calves. Quality
average with quite a few attractive. Feedyards are filling up to the brim
with hopes to finish cattle out and bring in more well conditioned,
lighter calves. Feeder cattle supply included 69 percent Steers, 31
percent Heifers, and 0 percent Bulls. Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs
was 59 percent.
