Oklahoma Farm Bureau President Rodd Moesel Splits Time Between New Orleans and Oklahoma City to Represent the General Farm Organization
Sun, 13 Jan 2019 22:18:38
Oklahoma's Farm Bureau President Rodd Moesel has spent time in New Orleans at the front end of the 2019 American Farm Bureau Convention- leading the delegation of Oklahoma Farm Bureau members as they join with other Farm Bureau members in celebrating the 100th Anniversary Convention of the nationwide general farm organization.
Moesel spent a few minutes with Radio Oklahoma Ag Network Farm Director Ron Hays- talking about the sessions he has been a part of with other State Farm Bureau Presidents. He also previewed the visit coming Monday by President Donald Trump, who expressed some disappointment last year in Nashville when he addressed the 99th Annual meeting of the American Farm Bureau- saying- "I'll see you next year." The Trump has decided to keep that promise and will speak midday Monday.
Moesel says he regrets that he will not be in New Orleans on Monday- but signaled he is heading home to Oklahoma to take part in the inauguration of Kevin Stitt to be the next Governor of Oklahoma- saying that he wanted to make sure the Governor was feeling the love from rural Oklahoma as he begins his four year term as the state's Governor.
Hays and Moesel talk about Farm Bureau's early encounters with Governor Elect Stitt- and the hopes Farm Bureau has for what Kevin Stitt brings to state government. Moesel praised several of the choices that Stitt has made for people that will be in key roles in his administration- and believes that they will help provide Oklahoma Agriculture a seat at the table in a more tangible way than perhaps ever before.
Moesel also offers a preview of what Oklahoma Farm Bureau is expecting from the delegate session that takes place on Tuesday in New Orleans.
