Compared to last week: All classes of cattle trading mostly 2.00-7.00
higher. Demand good to very good. Quality average to attractive with a
abundance of uniform, well conditioned cattle for grazing pasture on offer.
Severe winter storm bringing arctic blasts of below zero temperatures across
the northern plains is expected for mid week causing much colder weather across
the local trade area as well. Cattle showing very little mud today after the
ground hardened up. Trade active. Feeder cattle supply included 61 percent
Steers, 37 percent Heifers, and 2 percent Bulls. Feeder cattle supply over
600 lbs was 62 percent.
