Compared to last week: Feeder steers and heifers 600-700 lbs. steady to 2.00 higher, balance of heavier steers steady to 1.00 lower and heavier heifers 1.00-3.00 lower. Steer calves steady to 2.00 lower. Heifer calves mostly steady to 2.00 higher. Demand moderate to good. Quality average to attractive with many large lots of home raised cattle on offer. A large crowd on hand with active bidding on the large selection again this week. CME live and feeder cattle futures achieved significant gains today while negotiated fat cattle trade ended up a tick higher for the week with a majority of the trades occurring late Friday afternoon. The warm weather over the weekend helped soak in the moisture on the wheat pasture in the trading area. Feeder cattle supply included 57 percent Steers, 42 percent Heifers, and 2 percent Bulls. Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 63 percent.
