Feeder Steers Sell Mostly Steady, Heifers 1.00 to 3.00 Higher on Wednesday at OKC West Livestock OKC West Livestock Market - El Reno, OK

Compared to last week: Feeder steers sold mostly steady. Feeder heifers 1.00
-3.00 higher. Demand good for feeder cattle. Feeder numbers somewhat lighter
due to cold front that pushed thru the state bringing freezing rain and snow.
Up to 8 inches of snow fell in Northwestern Oklahoma, only light sleet falling
in the local trade area. Quality of feeder cattle average to attractive but
some carrying mud. Weigh-ups average to full. Steer calves mostly steady to
2.00 lower. Heifer calves 2.00-3.00 lower. Demand moderate to good. Quality
average. Feeder cattle supply included 54 percent Steers, 42 percent Heifers,
and 4 percent Bulls. Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 73 percent.
