Express Ranches Big Event Sale Tops Five Million Dollars- as Owner Bob Funk Uses Venue to Champion Rural Youth

A huge crowd gathered on the grounds of Bob Funk's home at Express Ranches in Yukon on a hot Friday evening, for the Customer Appreciation Gala that was a part of the 23rd Annual Big Event Female Production Sale at America's Largest Seedstock Operation, Express Ranches. Owner Bob Funk welcomed those who were in attendance, which included three Oklahoma Governors, the President of the American Angus Association John Pfeiffer, Oklahoma Farm Bureau President Rodd Moesel, State Officers of the Oklahoma FFA and Oklahoma 4-H and over a thousand more- telling them that Express was all about producing the top genetics in the Angus Breed today- and was also all about Championing Our Rural Youth.
To that end, Express Ranches debuted a video saluting the young people that are a part of FFA and 4-H and that Express has supported youth through their Scholarship Program with Millions of Dollars awarded to young people across the United States and Canada.

As far as the Big Event Sale was concerned- it was a success. According to one review posted on Facebook, "The sale barn was packed for day two of The Big Event at Express Ranches; and, the excitement was strong at the start of the sale, as the dam of the popular high genomic valued Lot # 1 heifer was added to the sale offering. On Saturday, the 222 lots grossed $4,586,490 to average $18,809. The two day total were on 473 lots was $5,202,450. The high maternal and strong $C STUD daughter, which was the added female in the sale, Lot # 1X, EXAR MISS 6903 topped the sale, with one-half interest selling for $255,000. One-half interest in the July 2018 daughter of the high selling female sired by ENHANCE, with a$B of 222; and, a $C of 377, was the second high selling female at $200,000."
