Oklahoma Association of Conservation Districts Announces 2019 Area Meetings Schedule


Oklahoma Association of Conservation Districts, in partnership with the Oklahoma Conservation Commission announces information and registration details for the 2019 Area Meetings.



There are five area meetings held throughout the state during November. These full day seminars are for conservation district directors, conservation district employees, and community stakeholders to share concerns and solutions about local conservation issues.



"Conservation Districts are the natural bridge between local farmers/ranchers and their state and federal government. The Area Meetings are an opportunity for conservation district directors, conservation district employees, and the leadership of the Oklahoma Conservation Commission and the Natural Resources Conservation Service to discuss how to best address natural resource concerns on private working lands," said Sarah Blaney, Executive Director of the Oklahoma Association of Conservation Districts.



Area Meetings will take place at the following five locations:



Area I - The Area I meeting will be held on Wednesday, November 13th, hosted by the Grant County Conservation District at The Family Life Center in Pond Creek, located at 221 S. 2nd St, Pond Creek, OK 73766.


Area II - The Area II meeting will be held on Tuesday, November 5th, hosted by the Oklahoma County Conservation District at the Oklahoma Association of Electric Cooperatives located at 2325 E. I-44 Service Rd, Oklahoma City, OK 73111.


Area III - The Area III meeting will be held on Thursday, November 21st, hosted by the Muscogee (Creek) Nation Conservation District at the Green Country Technology Education Center (part of the Oklahoma Department of Career and Technology Education System) located at 1100 OK-56 Loop, Okmulgee, OK 74447.


Area IV - The Area IV meeting will be held Thursday, November 7th, hosted by the North Caddo and West Caddo County Conservation Districts at the Caddo Kiowa Technology Center located at 1415 7th St. in Fort Cobb, OK 73038.


Area V - The Area V meeting will be held Monday, November 18th, hosted by the Pittsburg County Conservation Districts at the Kiamichi Technology Center located at 301 Kiamichi Dr. in McAlester, OK 74501.



Meeting registration will begin at 8:00 a.m. and the meetings will start at 9:00 a.m. The meetings will conclude by 3:00 p.m. The registration fee will be $38.00 per person and includes lunch. For an agenda, please click here.
