Compared to last week: Feeder steers 600-800 lbs. steady to 2.00 lower, heavier weights 2.00 higher. Feeder heifers 1.00-5.00 higher.   Demand good for heavier weight feeder cattle that will finish in April; moderate for others. Steer calves 500-600 lbs. 3.00-9.00 higher, lighter weights not well tested. Heifer calves 10.00-11.00 higher. Un-weaned calves sold mostly steady. Demand light to moderate for calves weaned less than 60 days, good to very good for long weaned calves. Cold front came thru the state late last week dumping several inches of rain in the east and snow in the north west. More cold weather is in store for this coming week with the first hard freeze expected on Thursday morning. Quality plain to average, few attractive. Supply included: 100% Feeder Cattle (55% Steers, 43% Heifers, 2% Bulls). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 55%.
