A group of young cattlemen that are part of Oklahoma Cattlemen's Association's (OCA) Cattlemen's Leadership Academy recently raised $28,500 for the OK BEEF PAC.
The OK BEEF PAC is OCA's political action committee. Funds are used to support political candidates who appreciate, value and fight for a healthy thriving Oklahoma beef industry. A strong and growing OK BEEF PAC is necessary in order to help elect candidates who are friendly and supportive of Oklahoma beef cattle ranchers and their livelihood.
The fundraiser was a raffle that consisted of 12 items including a John Deere zero-turn lawnmower, hunts, ranch items and guns. The group worked together to sell 352 tickets. Several items were donated or sold at cost by generous supporters. Special thank you goes to P & K Equipment, Advantage Firearms, Bluestem Hunting Reserve, Webb Aviation, Coba Select Sires and Stillwater Milling.
The OCA is the trusted voice of the Oklahoma Cattle Industry. OCA is the only voice that speaks solely for the cattlemen of Oklahoma and represents beef producers in all 77 counties across the state. The OCA officers, board of directors and membership encourages you to join us in our advocacy efforts to ensure less government intervention, lower taxes and a better bottom line. For more information about OCA membership, the theft reward program or activities call 405-235-4391 or visit www.okcattlemen.org.
