Feeder Steers and Heifers Lower at OKC West - El Reno on Wednesday

Compared to last week: Feeder steers sold mostly 1.00-4.00 lower, feeder heifers traded 2.00-4.00 higher. Demand moderate. Quality average to attractive. Several large consignments on offer again this week. All classes of steer and heifer calves were too lightly tested for an accurate trend but a steady undertone from last week's lightly tested, and a sharply lower market was noted. Demand Moderate. Quality average. Both Live and Feeder Cattle contracts on the CME are currently limit higher. Supply included: 100% Feeder Cattle (50% Steers, 0% Dairy Steers, 49% Heifers, 1% Bulls). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 78%.
