Road to Rural Prosperity--Oklahoma FFA State Advisor Jack Staats on his Lifetime in Ag Education

In the latest Episode of our Road to Rural Prosperity, Legendary State FFA Advisor, Jack Staats talks with Host Ron Hays about his lifelong career in agriculture

Jack Staats has proudly proclaimed "Here by the Owl" at State FFA Conventions since 2008- and did so at the Chapter Level for over thirty years before that- Jack is retiring from his role as State FFA Advisor and the Program Manager of Ag Education in Oklahoma. His teaching career started in 1973 and he has seen Oklahoma FFA rise in popularity and in importance across Oklahoma- reminding us that Oklahoma FFA has the most members of any state based on the per capita state population.

Staats said he has always tried to make agriculture and FFA a big part of the school system, and the agriculture system in the state of Oklahoma. With the help of the legislature, Staats said they were able to fund 32 new programs for agriculture.
