***MID-SESSION/ CLOSE*** Compared to last week, steers under 550 lbs 2.00 to 3.00 lower, 550 to 750 lbs steady to 2.00 higher, over 750 lbs unevenly steady, heifers under 450 lbs 2.00 to 3.00 lower, 450 to 700 lbs steady, over 700 lbs steady to 3.00 lower. Demand moderate to good, supply moderate. Hot temperatures returning has put pressure on the light calve trade, especially if they are not weaned. Live Cattle and Feeder Cattle futures closed on the plus side for the first day of week. Supply included: 100% Feeder Cattle (56% Steers, 35% Heifers, 8% Bulls). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 54%.
