Helena Agri-Enterprises Has Several New Herbicides For 2021 Crops

Tue, 29 Dec 2020 08:49:46 CST

Helena Agri-Enterprises Has Several New Herbicides For 2021 Crops Several new weed control products from Helena Agri-Enterprises hold great promise for soybean and wheat producers, said Mark Wayland, manager of herbicide brands for Helena Agri-Enterprises.

Wayland was recently interviewed by Radio Oklahoma Agriculture Network Associate Farm Director and Editor KC Sheperd.

We're really excited to introduce a new soybean herbicide available this spring, he said.

The product is called Antares Complete and it is a powerful 3-way combination of active ingredients, Wayland said.

The Pauls Valley, Okla., native said Oklahoma's wild and crazy weather requires crop protectants with a lot of flexibility.

Our customers have told us they need early season control with full season residual coverage, he said.

There are a lot of great tools out there from a post emergent standpoint, he said. Helena strives to provide products to control weeds as they come up with the crop, especially during the first few weeks of the crop growth, Wayland said.

He said his company also has a full line of products for wheat producers.

We have a complete line of wheat products including a new one called Parlay for spring wheat this coming spring, he said.

It's a 3-way mix of broadleaf weed control with two different modes of action, Wayland said.

It is also highly compatible with selected grass control herbicides, he said.

This will be a great tool for next year's wheat crop, he said.

The Tennessee-based company has three new core herbicides awaiting federal registration approval early in 2021.

Wayland said the products will be available for spraying early post emergence in corn this spring.

Helena Agri-Enterprises has dealers in El Reno, Altus, Coweta, Welch, Blackwell and Eakly, Oklahoma.

He said 2021 is shaping up to be a really good year for Helena.
