ICYMI--Oklahomans Praise Gov. Stitt's State of the State Address, The People's Agenda

ICYMI--Oklahomans Praise Gov. Stitt's State of the State Address, The People's Agenda “I appreciate the optimism of Governor Stitt’s state of the state speech. Senate Republicans are ready to work with the governor and our House colleagues to help Oklahoma rebound from the COVID-19 pandemic, grow and diversify our economy, help state government deliver services more efficiently to taxpayers, and invest in the people of Oklahoma. I appreciate the governor’s acknowledgement of the constitutional authority of each branch of government and look forward to working with him as the session progresses.” - Senate President Pro Tempore Greg Treat

“Governor Stitt’s leadership has Oklahoma positioned for big success this session. The governor will find strong support in the House for keeping the economy open, resuming in-person school, empowering parents and improving school finances. On those and all other issues, we appreciate and will reciprocate the governor’s pledge to work together and have a productive session for all Oklahomans.” - House Speaker Charles McCall, R-Atoka

“The people of Oklahoma’s oil and natural gas industry applaud Governor Stitt’s leadership to move this state forward with policies that boost our state’s highly-specialized economy, cut unnecessary red tape and eliminate barriers to investment. We look forward to working with him and the legislature to capture a brighter future for all Oklahomans.” - Petroleum Alliance President Brook A. Simmons

“The State Chamber’s mission is to make Oklahoma the best place to do business, and it requires modernizing the unemployment system, restructuring civil service, accountability in schools, and quality and performance in Medicaid. We are fortunate to have a governor and legislature that recognizes the value in tackling these critical issues. We look forward to working with leaders who understand Oklahoma is better with business.” - State Chamber of Oklahoma President & CEO Chad Warmington

“We are grateful to Governor Kevin Stitt for standing up for Oklahoma’s farmers, ranchers and small businesses as he committed to keep taxes low and to renew efforts to reduce unnecessary rules and regulations by further cutting red tape. We applaud the Governor’s commitment to improve our roads and highways and his determination to find agreements with our Native American neighbors that will provide certainty to all the questions that are arising from the landmark McGirt Supreme Court ruling.” - Oklahoma Farm Bureau President Rodd Moesel

“The vision our states’ leaders and Governor Kevin Stitt had was ambitious when launching the Cattlemen’s Congress here in Oklahoma City. We are grateful for leaders who look at the facts of the situation, and are thankful they stand with those who feed and clothe the world. Thanks to this bold leadership, we were not only able to provide a world class event for cattlemen and women, allowing them to market and sell more than $10 million in cattle genetics, but we were also able to contribute more than $40 million to our states’ economy.” - Cattlemen’s Congress board member Jarold Callahan
