PLC Kicks Off 2021 Virtual Legislative Conference

?Today, the Public Lands Council (PLC) will kick off their annual Legislative Conference, this year in a virtual format. The conference will run through Thursday, March 25. In coordination with National Agriculture Week, the conference will feature Members of Congress, policy experts, scientists, and other industry professionals who are dedicated to Western lands and waters.?
Opening day speakers include Senator Steve Daines (MT), Representative Dan Newhouse (WA), and several other Members of Congress who are directly involved in developing legislative solutions to complex Western challenges.
Tuesday afternoon's sessions will feature discussions about the role of multiple use in public land management and discussion regarding grazing's contributions to improved carbon storage and environmental stewardship.
The conference will continue Wednesday with updates from PLC leadership and meetings with federal agency officials. On Thursday, the conference will close with reports from all PLC policy committees. The full schedule of can be found here
