Compared to last week: Feeder steers 1.00-4.00 higher. Feeder heifers 4.00-6.00 higher. Demand good for feeder cattle. Steer and heifer calves lightly tested last week and few this week sold with a higher undertone. Quality average to attractive with several large strings of cattle offered. Rains fell throughout much of the state in the last week and very heavy in some areas. Temperatures remain fairly cool for
this late in May. The May wheat run is on despite the somewhat lighter numbers. Many cattle did sell earlier in the year, especially after February's winter storm. Supply included: 100% Feeder Cattle (55% Steers, 45% Heifers, 0% Bulls). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 81%.
