Oklahoma Pork Congress Set for August 6th

The Oklahoma Pork Council will host Oklahoma Pork Congress on Friday, August 6, at the Sheraton Hotel in Downtown Oklahoma City. The Oklahoma Pork Congress will draw more than 100 Oklahoma pork producers, elected officials, allied industry members and guests for national and state updates, guest speakers, an awards luncheon and business meeting.
The event will begin with an update from Oklahoma Secretary of Agriculture Blayne Arthur, National Pork Board CEO Bill Even and National Pork Producers Council CEO Neil Dierks.
The Hall of Fame, Distinguished Service, Ambassador, Outstanding Legislator and Excellence awards will be given to eleven special guests during the awards luncheon sponsored by DNA Genetics.
Attendees will hear updates from Oklahoma State's Dr. Justin Talley, Oklahoma Pork Council Executive Director Kylee Deniz and McSpadden and Associate's James McSpadden. The 2021 business meeting will take place after the updates.
The keynote session will include an exciting opportunity to hear from Vance Crowe, How Stories of Pigs Shape How We Feel about Pork Production Today.
Crowe is a communications strategist who has worked for corporations and international organizations around the world. He has spoken before more than 150,000 people, answering questions about some of the most sophisticated and controversial technologies in the modern age.
