Dr. Mary Ellen Hicks
Professor of Animal Science
Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College (ABAC) School of Agriculture and Natural Resources
Dr. Hicks worked as an associate veterinarian in a mixed animal practice before taking an ABAC faculty position where she has taught courses for 32 years on the application of proper livestock practices, from swine and equine production to herd health and livestock selection. She is involved with the college's beef cattle and forage production, as well as all aspects of harvesting, storage and feeding.
Dr. Jennifer Tucker
Associate Professor of Animal & Dairy Science
University of Georgia (UGA) College of Agricultural & Environmental Sciences
Dr. Tucker is focused on improving beef nutrition and forage quality and utilization while extending the grazing season. Her teachings are focused on streamlining research and extension efforts through applied research evaluations that provide timely and applicable management strategies to the end-user. The result: improved beef nutrition and grazing management and extended grazing across the Southeast.
Dr. Lisa Baxter
Assistant Professor and Extension Forage Specialist
University of Georgia (UGA) College of Agricultural & Environmental Sciences
Dr. Baxter's primary role in UGA Extension is to directly help and educate forage-based livestock producers to apply profitable and sustainable solutions to their forage production challenges. She has created a Forage Extension research program that is tailored to the unique needs of South Georgia producers, ranging from pests and diseases to forage management and grazing issues.
