New Southern Plains Blog Explores One-Thousand-Year Events Well, it's another week and it seems we have another story about wild weather. In this blog post we talk about the trends we are seeing in "one-thousand-year events.

On our latest podcast, we visit with Dr. Renee McPherson, director of South-Central Climate Adaptation Science Center at the University of Oklahoma. about the latest UN IPCC report on climate change and how they are trying to help communities and individuals in the Southern Plains prepare for what seems to be coming.

Listen to the podcast by going to southernplainspodcast.libsyn.com.

You can hear every podcast, read blogs and watch videos at southernplainsperspective.wordpress.com.

The blog deals with climate change, the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change report that was released recently and the role research, specifically LTAR, can play in helping Agriculture deal with what's heading our way.
