USDA Crop Progress Shows 2022 Oklahoma Wheat Crop 15% Planted

USDA Crop Progress Shows 2022 Oklahoma Wheat Crop 15% Planted USDA's weekly Crop Progress report, Monday, shows corn condition at 59% good to excellent. Soybean crop conditions at 58% good to excellent. Cotton crop conditions at 64% good to excellent. Good to excellent grain sorghum conditions are at 56%. Winter wheat is 21% planted.

The report shows 93% of the corn crop is in the dented stage, above the five-year average. Mature corn makes up 57%, also above the five-year average. Just 10% has been harvested, a point above the five-year average. The U.S. corn condition rating is 59% good to excellent, compared to 58% last week and 61% this time last year.

The Nation's soybeans dropping leaves is 58%, above the five-year average. Just 6% of soybeans are harvest at this time, on track with the five-year average. For soybeans, 58% is rated good to excellent, a point up from last week. This time last year, good to excellent soybean crop condition rated 63%.

Cotton bolls opening is at 48%, down from 53% for the five-year average. Cotton harvested is 9%, down from 11% for the average. Good to excellent cotton crop conditions is 64%, steady from last week and much better than 45% this time last year.

The U.S. grain sorghum coloring is now 93%, up from 88% for the five-year average. Mature sorghum is 51%, up from the five-year average. For grain sorghum, 25% is harvested so far, slightly behind the five-year average. Good to excellent sorghum crop condition is 56%, down a point from last week, but up compared to this time last year.

Finally, pasture and range conditions fell a point, with just 24% good to excellent. Fair conditions are 30%, with 46% poor to very poor. Abnormally dry conditions have allowed drought in the West to creep east, into much of the Great Plains.

Oklahoma

According to the Oklahoma Crop Progress and Condition report winter wheat is 15% planted.

Oklahoma corn crop condition is 74% good to excellent, 23% fair and 3% poor to very poor. Corn dented reached 95%. Corn mature reached 69%.

Oklahoma grain sorghum crop condition is 41% good to excellent, 30% fair and 29% poor to very poor. Sorghum coloring reached 87%. Mature Sorghum reached 69%.

Oklahoma soybean crop condition is 61% good to excellent, 29% fair and 10% poor to very poor. Soybeans setting pods reached 83%. Soybeans dropping leaves reached 24%.

Oklahoma cotton crop condition is 69% good to excellent, 22% fair and 9% poor to very poor. Cotton bolls opening reached 57%.

Pasture and range condition is 36% good to excellent, 43% fair and 21% poor to very poor.

Kansas

According to the Kansas Crop Progress and Condition report winter wheat is 13% planted.

Corn condition rated 56% good to excellent, 25% fair and 19% poor to very poor. Corn dented was 93%. Mature was 62%. Harvested was 20%.

Kansas soybean condition rated 61% good to excellent, 28% fair and 11% poor to very poor. Soybeans setting pods was 95%. Dropping leaves was 36%.

Kansas grain sorghum condition rated 58% good to excellent, 29% fair and 13% poor to very poor. Sorghum coloring was 89%. Mature was 37%. Harvested was 5%.

Kansas cotton crop condition rated 61% good to excellent, 37% fair and 2% poor to very poor. Cotton bolls opening was 46%.

Kansas pasture and range conditions rated 42% good to excellent, 36% fair and 22% poor to very poor.

Texas

According to the Texas Crop Progress and Condition report winter wheat is 20% planted.

Texas corn crop condition is 61% good to excellent, 29% fair and 10% poor to very poor. Corn dented reached 98%. Corn mature reached 85%. Corn harvested reached 70%.

Texas grain sorghum crop condition is 63% good to excellent, 28% fair and 9% poor to very poor. Sorghum coloring reached 95%. Mature Sorghum reached 83%. Sorghum harvested reached 73%.

Texas soybean crop condition is 50% good to excellent, 40% fair and 10% poor to very poor. Soybeans dropping leaves reached 78%. Soybeans harvested reached 50%.

Texas cotton crop condition is 59% good to excellent, 32% fair and 9% poor to very poor. Cotton bolls opening reached 42%. Cotton harvested reached 19%.

Pasture and range condition is 28% good to excellent, 34% fair and 38% poor to very poor.
