New Technologies Available to Producers in the Southern Plains by Bayer Crop Science

Unless you have been living in a small pocket of eastern Oklahoma that seems to be impervious to current drought conditions, you know Oklahoma is dry. Oklahoma is not alone; the West and the Great Plains have largely struggled with abnormally dry conditions or worse since the summer of 2019.
The current drought that is expanding across the Southern Plains does not look like it is going anywhere soon and professionals in the agricultural world are gearing up for the long haul. One company has developed technology to help folks in the pasture business right now.
"One is a vegetative product that is aimed at brush (control)," Brian Cain, southern range and pasture segment manager at Bayer Crop Science, said. "Invora is relatively new; it has been on the market for about a year, but we have seen great results."
Invora Herbicide transforms invasive brush into productive forage, restoring your land with innovative chemistry that redefines brush control. Right now, Invora manages brush like mesquite and huisache best, with just one application.
"Rezilon is another product that focuses on grass pasture protection," Cain said. "It is a preemergent product; we are mainly taking out annual grasses and some annual broadleafs - the crabgrass, goosegrass and even sand burr is a target."
Rezilon herbicide can provide you with increased hay quality by managing summer and winter annual broadleaf weeds and grasses. Its unique mode of action offers long-lasting protection from troublesome weed species and helps support managing annual grasses in perennial grass hay fields - a quality few preemergence or postemergence herbicides are able to maintain.
