Lucas, House Republican Leadership Urge Biden To Unleash American Energy Recently, Congressman Frank Lucas (OK-03) joined House Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.), House Republican Whip Steve Scalise (R-La.), House Republican Conference Chairwoman Elise Stefanik, and members of the House Energy Action Team (HEAT) in sending a letter to President Biden urging him to unleash American energy. The letter outlines the actions taken by the Biden Administration that have been harmful to the energy sector and how reversing these steps can help counter Vladimir Putin by making America less reliant on Russian oil.

In addition, Congressman Lucas recently cosponsored the American Energy Independence from Russia Act, which would create a long-term strategy increasing America's energy production and Congressman Tom Cole's (OK-04) Prohibition on Imports of Russian Oil Act, which would immediately cease all U.S. imports of Russian oil and other petroleum-based energy products.
